At Massac Memorial Hospital you receive compassionate care close to home. This critical access hospital facility
has 25 licensed beds and offers 24 hour emergency room physician coverage with a helipad. The hospital also has
cardiopulmonary, cardiac rehab, laboratory, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, radiology,
surgery, sleep medicine, and transitional care departments.
The hospital continues to expand the facility and services to meet the needs of the community. In 1994, the
hospital completed a 10,000 square –foot addition for new surgery and outpatient surgery center plus renovation
of the emergency care area. In 2009, the hospital completed a major addition and renovation project. This project
added a new main lobby and entrance, ER, Lab, and Imaging departments. It also added a new patient wing that
has all private rooms with individual bathrooms. The hospital opened a new 8 bay outpatient dialysis center in
early 2009.
Specialists in cardiology, family practice, geriatrics, internal medicine, pathology, radiology, gastroenterology,
and general surgery complement additional physicians in the Massac Memorial Hospital Specialty and Rural Health
Clinics. These clinics offer access to gynecology, ophthalmology, urology, dermatology, podiatry, ENT, and audiology.
