Massac County High School
: The building of Massac County High School started in 1980 and opened 1981. It took 19 months to build the school. It was made up of 56 classrooms, 14 offices, 21 janitor and storage rooms, and 10 restrooms. The library consists of 7,350 square feet, with the vocational area consisting of 39, 168 square feet. The MCHS gym is 13,800 square feet. The cafeteria and the kitchen area combined take up 9,000 square feet. In this school, there are 1, 027 lockers for the students. There are 1, 312 feet in corridors. The three acres that were saved for the paved parking lot consists of 128,000 total square feet.
