Progress is occurring in all areas of the community — new police station, a $1.5 million renovation of our public library, improved recreational opportunities in our community parks, a new $5 million water treatment facility, Harrah’s $75 million casino investment, continued street improvements, and a $4 million re-construction of the fort at Fort Massac State Park. A Tourism Development Master Plan has been completed for the City and implementation of the plan will begin in January 2004 with riverfront improvements.
